Follow the Muse is both the business name and philosophical principle underlying the lives and the art of Marc Clements and K. Daphnae Koop. Marc is a painter whose stone sculpting informs and affects his work on canvas. Daphnae is a painter whose canvas is heavily textured, carved wood. Together they also create a line of jewelry focusing on smooth beach stones gathered on the shores of Lake Superior. You are invited to the Exhibition Reception for Art on the Plains XI on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Plains Art Museum, Fargo, ND. The events will start at 6:30-7:30 pm with a VIP event with the artists; a 7:30 pm general opening, and 8:30 gallery talk and announcement of prize winners. Juror and Bemis Center for Contemporary Art Chief Curator Hesse McGraw will be giving a gallery talk at the opening and will announce the prize winners.
